7/28/2004 03:16:00 AM|W|P|Jen Da Purse Ho|W|P|I'm still being slow on my Noro Daria purse.  But i'm halfway done w/ the 2nd panel.  YIPPPEE!! Once i'm done w/ that...i'm done.  just sew it all up and ta-DA.  i hoping i'll be done within the next day or so. I went to another LYS yestesrday since Simpatico was closed on Monday.  It's interesting to see how much more this LYS charges for their products.  Its kind of a rip off.  Oh put while i was there, 2 of the employees asked me a bunch of questions about my MagKnits Sophie bag. :-) hahah  i admit...my ego got a bit inflated.  there are flaws I made w/ the bag that i'm not too pleased with.  but it IS a cute bag in the Jazz.  I love Jazz.  It felts so nicely. I decided to start a poncho i saw in an old Vogue knitting (thanks Trudie and Mary Jane) that requires Glace.  So i decided I shall make this poncho to wear to my cousin's wedding next month.  It shoudl be easy going.  But i DO want to make a felted bag for my mama.  That should be easy since it's fast.   so much to do, so little time. It's amazing to me how popular ponchos are again.  I just saw this weird commercial for JCPenny where children are dancing this weird hoochie dance.  and two of the girls are wearing ponchos while doing booty shakes.  what the heck has this world come to?  oh...but i got a promo email from the Gap today.  yeah...their product spotlight is on ponchos right now too.  ' i hate to think i do this stuff b/c i notice how popular it all is right now.  I try not to be one of those people that jumps on the bandwagon.  maybe i just notice these things more since i'm doing them.  it's like when you buy a car you think no one has, then all of a sudden you see it all over the road.   |W|P|109100285635775553|W|P|So tired...|W|P|purse.ho@gmail.com8/01/2004 07:02:00 AM|W|P| Anonymous|W|P|Hey Jennifer, I really want to see a pic of the poncho you are making...show me...show me! The sophie bag is SUCH a hit I don't think I want to make them for anybody but me so people can drool over them :D.

Lilyan7/25/2004 07:11:00 PM|W|P|Jen Da Purse Ho|W|P|last night, the girls of Simpatico Yarns took Mary out for her 60th b-day!  it was good fun!!  We went to her favorite restaurant, Mimi's Cafe.  there was a bunch of us just chit chatting and having a good ol' time.   She got some good loot, including a shawl that Latricia had made.  so very nice and very very fun. i've been slowly knitting a small evening purse made of Noro Daria.  I've only been working on it at the shop b/c now i'm not that inspired to hurry up and finish it.  plus i have so much work to do, i would feel guilty if i knitted all the time sinc i have so much to do.  sigh.  not enough time, motivation or energy.  boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo i was trying to look for those pics of those two baby hats i did...but now i can't find the photo.  booo.  i guess i have to take more pictures. :'( |W|P|109080125528513616|W|P|Happy birthday, Mary|W|P|purse.ho@gmail.com7/20/2004 09:35:00 PM|W|P|Jen Da Purse Ho|W|P|This is great!!! http://wendyknits.net/knit/badass.htm   |W|P|109037739465782199|W|P|how to be a bad ass knitter|W|P|purse.ho@gmail.com7/20/2004 09:24:00 PM|W|P|Jen Da Purse Ho|W|P|tee-hee.  I hadn't been to my LYS in over a week....since last Sun.  I went on a short trip starting on Weds...but i was so busy on Tues i couldn't stop by.  I felt such withdrawl.  But my friend told the other girls about my blog and when i went to the LYS today...they were all giggling about it.  so i got a bit embarrassed, but i shouldn't be.  Blogs are supposed to be fun and silly. :) i didn't get any knitting done while i was gone.  no time, no motivation.  On the plane i just wanted to sleep sleep sleep.  ugh.  planes have that effect on me.  i still need to post pics of the two little hats i did.  sigh.  i need to take the time to edit all my pics taken within the last week.  but it was good to see all my peeps at the LYS today.  i never thought being gone for a week from there would feel so weird.  all da ladies are so sweet and so caring.  thanks, you guys. |W|P|109037682574198189|W|P|A bit embarrassed...|W|P|purse.ho@gmail.com7/12/2004 11:58:00 AM|W|P|Jen Da Purse Ho|W|P|I finished two little hats last week. I will post pics up of them soon. I am currently working on a purse made of Noro Daria. that stuff is SOO slippery!! So i figured it would be fun to make a blog w/ that nick name. I have discovered my love for knitting purses. I have made 4 in the last 10 days. And i love each one I make.
